We have chosen to protect and safeguard our planet through practical measures and objectives.
Our company began a major investment plan in 2010 to acquire new, environmentally friendly technologies. To date, our production site in Fossano and our logistics hub in Trinità are equipped with photovoltaic systems that allow us to produce part of the energy we use ourselves. The remaining part comes from other renewable resources.
We are committed to animal welfare: this is why we have chosen to use only 100% free-range eggs for a more caring and respectful form of farming for laying hens.
We are working to reduce the amount of packaging materials we use and to optimise transport, thus reducing the number of lorries on the road and consequently the environmental impact.
We are continuously striving to increase the recyclability of our packaging. We help our consumers to separate waste through specific disposal instructions on our packaging. We are working to significantly reduce the use of plastic wherever possible, for example in our new ZeroPiù healthy shortbread range we have reduced it by 50%.
Small gestures of goodness that bring with them all the joy of having chosen a product that cares about your future and that of those around you.
We always try to offer you the best with tasty, wholesome products. Breakfast is the main meal of the day, which is why we promote a healthy, balanced diet in combination with a healthy lifestyle. In our product portfolio we offer shortbread with specific nutritional benefits, such as Wholewheat and No Added Sugars.
There is no progress without research: investing in the future. With a view to prevention and personal health, we have been supporting the Umberto Veronesi Foundation since 2018, by funding the work of a researcher every year within the Pink is Good project. The latter is a project working in the field of prevention and support for scientific research on the cancers that most affect women: breast, uterine and ovarian.
Ours is the story of the Balocco family, which has always been strongly linked to our origins and the local community. It was in Fossano, in the heart of Piedmont, that our passion for confectionery was born, and the ties created with the local community have always accompanied us in our progress. This is why we have continued to support social and cultural initiatives, events and activities in the area over the years.

Finding solutions to reduce food waste is one of the most sustainable choices for a company like ours to make. In fact, food waste occurs at every stage of the supply chain, even during the post-consumption phase. Our goal is to try to reduce it and minimise waste. Our partners in these activities are the Piedmont Food Bank and Too Good To Go.
Small positive gestures are enough to protect yourself, others and the environment.
