Thanks to the effort we put in every day and an ancient passion for our work that has remained unaltered through the years, we have given a bit of our sweetness to millions of people all over the world.
Discover how we became one of the most modern and efficient factories in Europe.
After the huge success of the ‘Signor Balocco’ advertising campaign, in 2014 Balocco developed a new TV campaign entitled ‘Nel paese del Signor Balocco’ (Balocco's Wonderland). Viewers are invited to get on board Balocco's traditional van to discover a land where family values and sharing reign supreme. This new format promotes both year-round and seasonal products.
Balocco is proud to support sporting events, year in, year out. Balocco is again official sponsor for the Giro d'Italia's Pink Jersey for 2015 and an Official Partner of Juventus for the 2014-2015 season.
In 2015 our production area reached 46,000 m2 and our turnover exceeded 167 million euros, with 350 employees. This recent growth has been underpinned by a significant investment plan, which aims to acquire new technologies and improve the systems currently in place. Balocco also cares about green energy: more than a third of the company’s energy needs are met by one of the biggest photovoltaic roof systems in Piedmont, helping reduce CO2 emissions.
Over the coming years, this plan aims to write a new chapter in Balocco’s development.
Balocco is special because it is a family business. The people behind the company are driven by a passion they inherited for confectionery, and expertise and family traditions are handed down through the generations. Following in the footsteps of Francesco Antonio and Aldo Balocco, Alessandra and Alberto are now further developing the company, with a true ‘history of excellence’ to rely on. Thanks to this new generation of leaders, tradition now goes hand in hand with innovation. And this ongoing improvement process is also a source of motivation for employees. At Balocco, we make the most of marketing and tradition without ever compromising on quality. This is an evolving family tale with much more to tell.
We love our confectionery roots and traditional recipes so much that the Balocco brand now represents Italian quality in over 67 countries (Europe, Northern, Central and South America, Middle East, South-East Asia, China, Oceania and Africa). 60% of sales come from within the European Union. In 2014 the company’s strong commitment mixed with inexhaustibly creative and passionate employees translated into an export turnover of more than 17 million euros.
